01Who we are

Shoplist LLC d/b/a Keating & Co (“Keating & Co,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates thekeating.co, including www.thekeating.co.

This Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose personal information when you visit our website, use public tools that link to this Policy, contact us, schedule a meeting, or communicate with us about our services.

This Policy also covers our own business relationship records. When we process personal information solely on a client’s behalf, that processing is governed by the client’s instructions, our agreement with the client, and applicable law. Please direct requests about that information to the relevant client.

02Information we collect

Information you provide: your name, work email, company name or website, project description, and other information you include in an inquiry or communication.

Scheduling and business records: meeting details, communications, and contact information provided by you, someone arranging a meeting, or a scheduling provider. If we work together, we also keep records needed to administer that relationship.

Technical and interaction information: information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, request times, security and error records, selected website interactions, and referral or campaign information.

Assistant information: if you use our website assistant, your messages, business context, and information from public pages you ask it to review.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, sensitive personal information, or identifiable customer or employee records through public forms or the assistant. We can arrange an appropriate way to exchange information needed for a project.

03How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, follow up on discussions, arrange meetings, prepare proposals, and manage business relationships. We also use it to operate requested website features, understand how visitors find and use the website, improve our services, prevent spam and misuse, troubleshoot problems, and meet legal, accounting or dispute-related requirements.

Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. You can ask us to stop promotional follow-ups at any time.

04Browser storage and website measurement

We use browser storage, including local storage and session storage, to remember preferences, preserve referral or campaign context, and carry draft text between website features and the contact form.

We measure selected actions, such as contact and calendar link clicks and inquiry outcomes. These records are designed to exclude names, emails and message text, but may include an inquiry identifier and campaign context associated with an inquiry.

You can clear or restrict cookies and other site data through your browser settings. This may affect preferences or saved drafts and does not delete information already sent to us.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this website. Our website does not change its collection practices in response to legacy browser “Do Not Track” signals.

05Optional website assistant

If available, our website assistant sends your messages and relevant context to Microsoft Azure to generate responses. You can contact us directly instead.

We do not retain conversation transcripts in our application. Limited usage, error and security records may still be retained. If you choose to submit assistant content through our contact form, that content becomes part of your inquiry record.

The assistant’s suggestions are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. Avoid including confidential or sensitive information.

06When we disclose information

We disclose information as reasonably needed to providers that help us host and secure the website, deliver and manage communications, schedule meetings, support website measurement, and provide the optional AI feature.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers; to comply with law or protect rights, safety or security; in connection with a business sale or reorganization, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections; or at your direction.

We do not sell personal information collected through Keating & Co or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not add this information to Shoplist’s commercial contact databases.

External services you choose to use, such as a linked scheduling service, have their own privacy notices. This Policy describes our handling of information and does not replace those notices.

07Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including responding to inquiries, managing business relationships, maintaining security, and meeting legal, accounting or dispute-related requirements. The period depends on the information and why we hold it.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, storage system or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

08Your choices and requests

Contact privacy@thekeating.co to ask about your personal information or request access, correction or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to obtain a copy of your information or opt out of certain uses or disclosures.

We handle requests and any additional applicable rights in accordance with law. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity before providing, changing or deleting personal information. We will explain any lawful reason we cannot fulfill a request. Where you have an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

We do not discriminate against you for exercising legally protected privacy rights.

09Location and children

We are based in the United States and initially offer our services to US businesses. Information may be processed where we or our providers operate, including the United States.

Our website is intended for adults acting in a business capacity and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate steps to remove it.

10Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as our practices change. We will post the updated version and effective date, and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
